Clean energy solutions make better economic sense than fossil-fueled options for security and law enforcement agencies tasked with keeping our world safe. As I embarked on the journey 10 years ago that would become T3 Motion, my personal quest was to use clean-energy electric vehicles to reduce our carbon emissions and dependency on oil.

T3 Series Integrated Lighting Package
For most law enforcement agencies and security providers, public safety is a 24-hour-a-day concern. The ability to see and be seen day or night is crucial to deterring and reducing crime. Every T3 Series electric stand-up vehicle (ESV) features an integrated LED lighting system purpose-built for around-the-clock public safety applications.
The T3 offers professional customers high-efficiency, low-drain front and rear LED lighting that is law enforcement-compliant with 1,000-foot visibility and that does not dramatically affect overall range and operating time of the clean-energy vehicle.
The T3 Series ESV Emergency Lighting has front and rear LED lights designed for day and night patrols. For law enforcement and EMS/first responder customers, the front flashing Emergency Lighting options include red/blue, all-blue, all-red, and amber. Rear lighting is available in red/blue or all-red. Security and non-sworn public safety customers choose the amber front and red rear LEDs for their patrol needs. Front custom lighting packages like all-green are also available at an additional cost.
In addition to the LED front and rear Emergency Lighting, the T3 Series front headlamp is vertically adjustable so it can be utilized as a spotlight. This revolutionary T3 design feature extends the functionality of the T3 Series ESV headlight to tilt up on multi-story buildings or down into vehicle interiors. The LED headlight is the equivalent of three standard-issue SL-20 Streamlights.
Whether it's 2:00 p.m. or 2:00 a.m., the LED Lighting Package is designed to increase the visibility and observational abilities of the T3 Series ESV.

GT3 Incorporates Apple iPad and 5BARz Cellular Extender
Adding to its innovations as a next-generation hybrid electric consumer vehicle, the GT3 will incorporate two important enhancements designed to connect the vehicle to the world through improved cell phone reception and access to information. These features will enable both driver and passenger to take advantage of the phenomenal worldwide growth in voice, data and video applications on cellular networks.
The 5BARz technology provides faster Internet services (including 3G) for mobile web browsing and e-mail, along with stronger signals and better reception for cell phone calls and messaging. It operates with virtually any mobile device including phones, PDAs, tablets and laptops. It is fully compliant with FCC regulations, and its patent-pending, low power emissions make the unit transparent to cellular networks.
The second GT3 mobile communications enhancement is incorporation of the Apple® iPad™. The sleek dashboard of the GT3 will sport mid-panel integration of the iPad in a position easily visible to the driver and passenger. With its built-in software and huge selection of developer "apps," the iPad will become the central information hub in the vehicle for everything from travel planning and GPS to audio, video and games. In addition, the 5BARz technology incorporated in the GT3 will increase the range and data rate for the iPad.
The new GT3 also includes T3 Motion's Motiontrak 300, the latest in "black box" in-car video and data recording systems. Data monitored by Motiontrak include vehicle speed, location and g-force shocks. Sophisticated software enables the user to see video footage from the vehicle's perspective, overhead Google Earth location display, and numeric as well as graphical data on a single screen.
The GT3 features a proprietary rear-wheel design incorporating a patent-pending, single, wide-stance wheel with two high-performance tires sharing one wheel. The revolutionary two-tire design improves traction, stability and handling, while the low rolling resistance and rounded profile of the rear tires increase energy efficiency.
New Motiontrak 330 Offers Three Camera and Audio
Motiontrak 300 set the standard for a versatile and powerful "black box" in-car video and data recording system. Now, the new model 330 expands those robust capabilities to offer three-camera video as well as audio recording. This important enhancement provides the ability to monitor activity inside as well as outside the vehicle.
For example, one camera and the microphone can be positioned for interior recording, while the other two cameras record views ahead and behind the vehicle. In this configuration, a fleet manager could have access to a driver's in-cab behavior (both audio and video), see activity when freight is being loaded and unloaded, plus record a forward-looking view for use in potential accident investigations.
In contrast to the single-unit Motiontrak 300, the 330 is run from a very compact central unit which can be hidden from view and to which the cameras and microphone are connected.
Data monitored by Motiontrak include vehicle speed, location and g-force shocks. Built-in GPS capability is integrated with Google Maps to track precise location and provide a vehicle movement overview. Sophisticated software enables the user to see video footage from the vehicle's perspective, overhead Google Earth location display, and numeric as well as graphical data on a single screen.
Motiontrak is an invaluable tool for optimizing routes, encouraging safe and efficient driving habits, investigating accidents, decreasing fuel consumption, and reducing insurance claims costs. The system offers important benefits to both commercial and consumer users, outlined at www.motiontrak.com
